Granot Center was born from the need to find answers for fatal questions: why is there so much inconsideration, disrespect, lack of interest and lack of appreciation between us? Why so many of us know almost one type of relationships – of settling scores and petty power struggles? Why so many of us are only concentrated on themselves and don’t feel any responsibility for the quality of the society in which they live?
This is the reality in every corner of our lives: in our family, on the street, in the media, with our leaders, educators, culture and are leaders, and in fact all of us. And seeking answers to these questions gave birth to a bigger dream – to offer an alternative way to live here: a different way to talk to each other, a different way to treat each other, and a different way to live in one relationship, in one family, in one society and in one world.
Change is Already Here
But the harsh image of so much selfishness and obtuseness around raised another question: is there anyone who is interested in a better reality?
It turned out very quickly the answer is definitely yes, that among many people who are only occupied with themselves, there are many among us that share the same dream of creating a reality of brotherhood and tolerance for all of us. And even if the steps they make to fulfill this dream are very small, the distance they walk is very very long.
Without us feeling it, change is already here. And even if it takes more time till it becomes a way of life to all of us, barriers begin to fall, and more and more people open their eyes and recognize that we are here not to beat each other, but to live together in brotherhood and sharing.
And once it was completely clear that we are not the only ones dreaming of tolerance and social responsibility, and that all we need is a house for all the dreamers, Granot Center was launched. Ever since then, things evolve on their own with a growing flow of people coming with ideas, suggestions and an endless willingness to take part in various ways in the center’s activity.
The Silent Force
Today, we can say with satisfaction that it is not difficult at all to recruit all the good and silenced will inside us. We found it in the many voluntary organization, among retired people who wish to contribute among students and school students who participate in various social projects – a great force waiting to be summoned for action and act and change the face of reality.
And the more people with exalted social aspirations the center draws to it, it is clearer to us that this good spirit can be found in each and every one of us, if we only look in the right place.
A vision never ends, it only intensifies. And Granot Center opens more and more windows, more and more doors, and more and more inspiration for different activities, to become the address to any creative idea and every innovative thing that will contribute to the creation of the quality society we dream of.
Until tolerance becomes the way for all of us, until tolerance becomes the answer to our questions and until tolerance becomes the reaction for everything that happens to us.
